The world is clearly divided between those who choose to see the best, and those who see the worst.
Napoleon Hill once wrote, ‘Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit.’ He was definitely an optimist.
An optimist calls a half-filled glass half full. A pessimist will declare it as half empty. An optimist sees a pile of bricks and envisages a castle, whereas a pessimist will only think of the hard work ahead. The mouth of an optimist is positive and uplifting. The tongue of a pessimist is negative and critical.
So where do you lie? On what side of the fence do you inhabit?
The optimist asks, ‘How can we improve this?’ The pessimist complains, ‘Why does bad stuff happen all the time?’The pessimist sees problems. The optimist seeks out solutions.
Our world, in this day and age, needs a world full of optimists.
So line up your positive speech with a positve mindset that will create a positive result for you, your family, and for those whom you come in contact with on a daily basis. Today is the day of the uplift in preference to the pull down.
And I don’t know about you – but I’d rather spread a bit of sunshine any day in preference to carrying around dark clouds, thunder storms, and always being the one to dump a wet blanket on other people’s parades.
