I have been studying a lot of material written by Leadership Expert – John C. Maxwell of late. Great material…and here are just a few notes that impacted me and that I would like to share with you…
Alex Haley, the author of ROOTS, used to keep a picture in his office of a turtle on a fence post to remind him that everybody needed the help of others.
Learn to give yourself positive mental pep talks.
Edison said, ‘If the only thing we leave our kids is the quality of enthusiasm, we will have given them an estate of incalculable value.’
Edison also said, ‘I am long on ideas, but short on time.’
Victor Frankl believed, ‘The last of our human freedoms is to choose our attitude in any given circumstances.’
And here’s another thought- ‘To add growth, lead followers – to multiply , lead leaders.’
So lead on….because I believe that each and everyone of us has been called to some form of leadership. As a father you lead your family and children. As a businessman you lead your business and staff. As a teacher, you lead and teach your students . So lead on….and always read and listen more about leadership, because there is always so much more that we need to learn.
