This is Our Moment of Choice

This past week, I attended the Evolutionary Leaders Conference in Los Angeles.  This event was a gathering about awakening the consciousness of the public and opening their eyes to the current reality.  I have been actively participating in this group for a few months and this week at the event, in addition to presenting, I was a student of the other teachers in the room.  Hearing from such positive and motivating people gives me goosebumps; its why I’m in this line of work to begin with.  Knowing the power we have as a community to change the world is very empowering.

The theme for the event was “This is Our Moment of Choice.” Not only can we relate this to how we treat Mother Earth, but our outlook on day to day life as well.  Our intention for the event was to spark an initiative for choosing change within the world and each other.  Consider this achieved.  Each person who participated last week has been renewed, awakened and excited for the possibilities we hold.  Not only can we rise above the imbalance in this world, but we can do so with momentum to change the next generation as well.  I’m not sure about you, but I cannot wait until the nightly news is broadcasting positive reports about this world.  I would love to hear how many lives have been saved, how many species are thriving instead of dying, and about positive events and celebrations taking place throughout the globe.  Isn’t it about time for some inspiration for the generations to come?

As a participant in this group, we talk about change that we see as necessary as well as spread the message about how we can change the world through our own networks and organizations.  As many of my students know, I support an organization called the Pachamama Alliance.  The Pachamama Alliance is committed “To preserve[ing] the Earth’s tropical rainforests by empowering the indigenous people who are its natural custodians.” This is just one organization committed to making lasting positive changes in this world. There is a need for a reality check within the entire human race, and for me, the videos and actions of the Pachamama Alliance supply just that.

We can either choose as a community to utilize our collective energy and intention to accelerate a positive shift in the consciousness, or not. This is our moment of choice.  Are you choosing to be conscious of the current state of affairs?  Or are you choosing to let someone else deal with it because you are too busy with your current load? Let’s create a community for change together.

My challenge for you today: Find an organization that resonates with you, much like how The Pachamama Alliance resonates with me, and become part of this movement for positive change.   There are so many amazing organizations out there just waiting for you!  Find one that feels right, and join in to create positive change for today and our future.
